I know you can no longer have loose ice in your coolers. If ice is put in zip lock bags is it still considered loose, or is it allowed? If not allowed, what is best recommendation for keeping bottled water and sodas cold?

Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca!  I know you must be counting down the days and getting everything in place for your upcoming vacation.

To streamline the security screening process, loose ice in coolers is not permitted.  I am happy to let you know small zip-top baggies of ice are fine.  I would pack some sandwich or quart-sized bags; nothing larger than 1-gallon size.  In a pinch, you could use the plastic bag from the ice bucket in your hotel room.  Cups of ice are also available at no charge at any Quick-Service dining location if you need to replenish during the day.

Be sure to check the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules to make sure your cooler is within the permitted dimensions.  Also, as you prepare for your visit, check out the information and updates in this guide about Returning to a World of Magic.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  We are always happy to help.  Have a wonderful visit!
