Hi. I want to know if I need pay extra by drinks when I get a cruise

    Hi Roberth!

Welcome aboard planDisney! Please pull up a deck chair and let’s talk drinks onboard Disney Cruise Line. I’m happy to help you understand what beverages are included and what will incur an additional cost on your upcoming cruise.

Most non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary. This includes non-bottled water (freshly made through reverse osmosis onboard), fountain sodas, brewed coffee, tea, juice, and milk. These are included with your meals at the buffet restaurant and main dining rooms and on Disney Castaway Cay. There is a beverage station on the pool deck of every Disney Cruise Line ship where you can enjoy complimentary refills throughout your voyage. My family always packs spill-proof bottles so we can take ice water on our Port Adventures or have something to sip throughout the day onboard.

Here are some examples of what would incur an additional cost and gratuity throughout your vacation:

There are a few ways you can plan ahead for some savings. First, you may bring your drink of choice onboard with you (non-alcoholic, too)! To bring your own alcohol onboard, you are limited to beer and wine, and limited in capacity per adult to enjoy in your stateroom. Please know the drinks must be in their original containers and in your carry-on for embarkation day.

You may also purchase a bottled wine package before your sailing through Onboard Gifts and Amenities – this allows you to order a set number of bottles of wine to be served to you throughout your cruise, and you select the exact blend for each bottle once onboard.

My family likes to take advantage of the special refillable beverage cups on our cruises. For my son, we purchase a refillable kid's cup where he can get smoothies for a set price throughout the sailing. I like to buy the Disney Cruise Line Drink of the Day refillable cup, where I receive more ounces of the specialty themed beverage each day for the same discounted price as the standard serving. There is also a beer mug package available through Onboard Gifts and Amenities which allows for larger pours of your favorite draft brew for the cost of a smaller standard serving. All of these souvenir cups are used often in my kitchen at home now and remind us of our fun memories onboard together.

Beverage purchases are charged to your stateroom account and paid in full upon departure. For each transaction, you receive a receipt and can provide additional gratuity if desired.

I hope this helps you understand what to expect for the wide variety of beverages available for your sailing, Roberth. Please let us know what other questions you have, and how we can help you make the most of this special vacation.

    Cheers,
    Amy
