Ahoy, Elaine!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I’m thrilled to see that you have a cruise planned for later this summer while Disney Cruise Line is celebrating its Silver Anniversary at Sea, commemorating 25 years! I just stepped off the Disney Magic a few days ago and happened to take a photo of the beverage station anticipating Guest questions like yours. We’re always in research mode, eager to learn more, and I’m so happy that I can help you in detail from this recent experience.
There is so much included on a Disney Cruise and you're right in that most non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary! On all Disney ships, there is a beverage station by the pool deck which offers a variety of drinks for no extra charge; they are unlimited throughout your sailing. I like to pack a refillable bottle for each member of my family, and we fill them up at breakfast but then come back as needed throughout the day for our favorites or to take ice water with us on a Port Adventure. Sodas are also offered at the buffet quick-service restaurant as self-serve, or in the main dining rooms each evening from your dining team.
Drink offerings are pretty standard across the fleet but certainly subject to change based on inventory or other unique circumstances. The beverage stations on the pool deck and quick service restaurants typically have:
- Water
- Soda (carbonated, unflavored water)
- Coca-Cola Classic
- Diet Coke
- Seagram’s Ginger Ale
- Sprite
- Fuze Iced Tea (unsweetened)
- Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade
- Vitamin Water (Acai-Blueberry-Pomegranate flavor)
- Hot Water and Tea Bags
- Hot Chocolate
- Coffee (Regular and Decaffeinated)
- Orange Juice (buffet quick service restaurant, not on the pool deck beverage station)
- Apple Juice (buffet quick service restaurant, not on the pool deck beverage station)
Sweeteners and milk are available at the beverage station to enhance any of your drinks as needed. In the main dining rooms at dinner, they also served freshly brewed iced tea (unsweetened) and Shirley Temples (Sprite with grenadine and cherries). If you are sailing in the Concierge room category, they offer additional bottled and canned beverages included with their lounge service.
If there’s something specific that you’d like to enjoy on your cruise which isn’t offered in this list, you may bring your own onboard. Please
see the details I recently provided another Guest for bringing non-alcoholic beverages in your carry-on bag.
A favorite tip among my planDisney panelist pals is to get a cup of vanilla soft serve ice cream (also complimentary and unlimited) from the pool deck, then head back to the beverage station to add some fresh Coca-Cola for a practically perfect Coke Float at sea!
I hope this has you looking forward to lazy days onboard with a favorite cold drink, or a classic beverage to pair with your nightly rotational dining Elaine. Please don’t hesitate to ask us anything else to help you make the most of this magical vacation.
Cheers,
Amy
