I know you need park reservations. We don’t plan on being there till late afternoon. Is our spot held or do we lose it because we didn’t arrive early?

    Denise,

    That is a great question!

No, you will not lose your spot in your park for the day if you have a theme park reservation via the Disney Park Pass system. Wherever you have a park pass reservation, that is your park for the day, and a late arrival is not going to lead to you losing your place.

Of course, for those who are park hopping, getting into a second park that day is reliant upon there being availability, but for you that is not a concern.

The real question is what will you do with your morning? Too many people forget to relax on their Walt Disney World vacation. Sleeping in, exploring something that is not inside the parks, or just hitting the pool is a great way to spend the first part of your day. Here are a few suggestions if you have the time.

    • Resort Hopping. One of my daughters loves to explore the theming at the different Disney resort hotel, so we will hop on buses, the Disney Skyliner, or the monorail and explore the different locales. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo HouseDisney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Wilderness Lodge all get high marks for atmosphere that takes you to another world.
    • Pool Time. On most vacations we find that renting a cabana is too steep for our budget. But we have found the cabana rentals at some of the Disney resort hotels to be comparatively affordable, and many offer 1/2-day rentals.
    • Disney Springs. Shopping. Dining. Entertainment. Was there something else you were looking for? Disney Springs has it all.
Write me back if you have any additional questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
