I know u need to make dining reservations 180 days in advance, how far in advance do they announce additional magic hours so we can coordinate these two. Love your site, can't stay away. Thanks for all the advice!

Historically, the park calendars (which include the Extra Magic Hours) have been released just prior to the 180 reservations window; meaning the calendars are released about six months in advance. There have been some hiccups with the recently, where the calendars were not released on the expected timetable. My guess is that this was related to the upcoming major changes in the Disney Dining reservations system, described HERE. Once the new reservations system is up and running, I'm confident that the calendars will again be on a six month release schedule.

If you want to do some planning in advance, you could go to the website intercot.com and search for an article called "Historical Park Hours Archive." This will lead you to pages that will tell you what the hours have been for each time of year in the past. With this information, you can make some educated guesses about what hours to expect during your stay.
