Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Kristen. We're delighted to see you! It looks like you'll be arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort just after the new year. I can't think of a better way to kick off 2025!
As a mom of three, I'm a big fan of the
Disney Dining Plan because it adds flexibility AND convenience to our Disney vacations. What's not to love about that? You ask a great question. Generally speaking, any entrée intended for one person and any beverage intended for one person, including alcohol for Guests 21 and older, is included as part of a Quick-Service meal or Table-Service meal at a restaurant that participates in the Disney Dining Plan. That said, there are always a few exceptions, but unfortunately, the only way to know what is excluded is to chat with a Cast Member when you're placing your order. In my experience, Cast Members at both
Quick-Service and
Table-Service dining locations are very knowledgeable about what is and what is not included with dining plan meals. They're also eager to help you maximize your dining plan and get the most bang for your Disney buck! I once had a Cast Member encourage my son to order a fresh smoothie instead of a soda with his meal. It was a healthier choice, but it also made for a better value with our dining plan!
Speaking of great value, I always try to maximize my family's meals and snacks when we're using the Disney Dining Plan.
Character Dining Experiences are a great value for Table-Service meals! These meals often include all-you-care-to-enjoy fare, so we make sure to really fill our bellies. Not to mention, these meals also include the delightful company of beloved Disney Characters!
I hope this was helpful, Kristen. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
