Hey howdy hey, Amanda! Thanks for moseying on over to planDisney with another Walt Disney World vacation planning question. We love to see guests come back to us.
When I was at Walt Disney World a few weeks ago, masks were required at indoor locations. Upon entering a queue for any indoor attraction, we simply put our mask on, even if the queue was somewhat outdoors (ex.
Na'vi River Journey).
While there isn’t a list of attractions that will require masks, I would just plan to have a mask ready at all attractions. Cast members were very diligent about asking guests to put their masks on when it was required.
There were very few where it wasn’t required, and we found that keeping our masks on our wrists or attached to a lanyard around our necks was the easiest way to always have them ready.
We did also find that we did not receive our
PhotoPass photos on attractions if anyone in the ride vehicle had their mask worn improperly. I was bummed to not get our Pirates of the Caribbean photo but noticed a guest in the row in front of us who had her mask down at that particular moment.
I hope this helps with planning for your January visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
