I want to know if I will lose my dining meals if I eat out for one or 2 days at another place? I am staying for 8 days, but will go to SeaWorld and Discovery Cove on other days. Can I ask for just 6 days?

    Hi Terry,

You will not lose your dining meals because you ate at non-Disney restaurant. You will lose them once your vacation is over.

The Disney Dining Plan is based on the length of stay at your Disney Resort. Since you are there for eight days, you are entitled to eight of everything and you cannot shorten it.

Here is how you can use those meals and snacks and not lose them when you are outside of the park.

    1. Go to a dinner which counts as two table service meals such as the Hoop Dee Doo Revue.

    2. One day you can have an extra meal at the parks. For example, when my family visits, we eat breakfast in the room which we brought from home. This way lunch and dinner are on the plan. If we had extra days, we would make sure to eat breakfast in the park.

    3. Take the snacks to go so you have a treat at your resort for late night swimming or grab an extra for that long wait in line. Snacks are generally any food or beverage under four dollars.

Remember, you will get a printout of how many meals and snacks you have left so go and enjoy your vacation!
