I know loose ice is not allowed in the parks anymore. But is it allowed in the hotels. IE: we’re driving 6 hours and plan on filling our yeti cooler with ice to keep our lunches and drinks cool. We are staying st art of animation resort.

Oh my goodness, Paulina!  Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins tomorrow!  Are you soooo excited???  Let's get you packed up and on your way!

I'm glad to hear you are aware of the recent updates to the Walt Disney World property rules.  In an effort to streamline the bag check process, loose ice in coolers is not permitted.  Small bags of ice or reusable ice packs are acceptable.  This restriction only applies when entering a Theme Park or Water Park.  Your cooler with ice is fine in your car or at your Disney Resort Hotel.  If you plan to bring a cooler with you into a park, keep in mind coolers can be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high.  I recommend bringing some resealable plastic bags with you - they come in handy for so many reasons and could be used to bring ice into the parks.

Enjoy your stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  Did you know, The Big Blue Pool is the largest Resort Hotel pool at Walt Disney World Resort?  Say hello to Alfredo, the General Manager, if you see him.  He is such a friendly man and is so proud of Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  He wants to be sure all Guests feel well taken care of.

Have a wonderful vacation and safe travels to you.
