I know it's a little early to ask, we want to come when it's decorated for Christmas 2015. When do decorations go up, and when does Mickey's very merry Christmas party start? We're thinking of coming the week of Thanksgiving.

    Hello Elizabeth!
I have to confess, Christmas is my very favorite time of the year at the Walt Disney World Resort! The transformation in the Magic Kingdom from Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and fall decor to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and holiday finery is rather epic-it's done overnight if you can believe it! The decor change has historically been done in early November and it coincides with the start of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If you and your family come to visit at Thanksgiving, the parks will already be adorned for Christmas and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be in full swing.

I hope you're able to visit the Walt Disney World Resort during my favorite time of year! Happy Planning!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
