Hiya Angela!
Welcome back to planDisney; we love it when you stop by!
Wearing a dress, especially during the warmer months at Walt Disney World Resort, feels wonderful! I love putting together cute outfits for the parks; one thing I always like to keep a priority is comfort. A breezy dress and comfortable shoes are sometimes my favorite options to go with!
Angela, according to the
dress code at Disney World's theme parks and water parks, Guests are recommended to dress comfortably and wear good walking shoes, as I previously mentioned. Because safety is of utmost importance, it is at the Cast Members' discretion to deny anything considered inappropriate. This could include wearing anything offensive, clothing that exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment, clothing that drags on the ground, etc.
In your case, your dress sounds lovely and should be fine. If it helps, I'll add that I like to opt for shorts under my dress in case I want to ride
Space Mountain!
If you're considering taking photos in your dress, you'll find many
picture-perfect spots around Walt Disney World Resort! For instance, some of my favorite sites at
Magic Kingdom Park include:
-The arches next to
Cinderella Castle, just past the Partners Statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. There are two on either side, and if you stand under either one of the arches, you'll be able to capture yourself and Cinderella Castle beautifully behind you.
-On Main Street, U.S.A.; bonus points if you can snag a photo in front of bright balloons as they sway behind you.
-The fountain in front of
Gaston's Tavern.
-The Tangled-themed restrooms. I know it sounds funny, but the area is stunning! You can find it between
"It's a small world" and
Haunted Mansion.
Wishing you an enchanting visit, Angela!
