Hello, I know this isn't a question that can be answered definitively, but I am going the first week of Sept. I have lunch ADR at H&V on thurs. with the heavy crowd prediction should I change it? I am just going for the meal and a little shopping.

Hi, Cyndi! Thanks for bringing another question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My family and I will also be at Walt Disney World Resort during the first week of September for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While we can’t know for sure what the crowds will be like at that time, I think that if you’re planning to enjoy your Dining Reservation at Hollywood & Vine and enjoy some of the shops at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you should be fine.

Guests staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel will have access to extra, Extra Magic Hours this Fall, so Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open at 6 a.m. during the week of your visit. I would encourage you to check the Disney Parks Blog for updates regarding crowd levels for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during its opening weekend to help get a feel for what the crowds may be like by that following Thursday. Check your Hollywood & Vine reservation for information about its cancellation policy, but generally speaking Dining Reservations can be canceled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Should the crowds prove more than you think you can handle, you can always cancel your reservation within its permissible window.

I do hope you enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Cyndi. If you see me at Disney’s Hollywood Studios while you’re there, say “hello!”
