Do you know what is included in the typical CS meals in the parks? Is a soft drink or bottle water included in the meal price? Is tax included in price? Any options for healthier sides besides the fries most come with?

    Hi Stephanie,

Disney has made great strides in recent years with improving the healthfulness of their food offerings. Nearly all counter service meals in the parks come with the option of apple slices, grapes, carrot sticks, or apple sauce as a side dish rather than fries.

Most counter service restaurants have both full meal and a la carte options. For example, you could get just a salad. Or you could get a salad with a beverage included. Tax is generally not included in the price of the meal. It will be added at the end.

If you're concerned about meal pricing and health options, I have two great resources to point you to, both wonderful independent websites.

    - AllEars.net: All Ears has menus, including pricing, for every restaurant at Walt Disney World. You can see here exactly what options would be available to you.

    - DisneyFoodBlog.com: Disney Food Blog has reviews of nearly every restaurant, along with photos of the food. There are also many articles there about food budgeting and healthy eating tips at WDW.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
