I know that the Haunted Mansion Holiday ends in January. Can you tell me the expected closed dates for January 2025 ?

    Hi there, Janet!

Thank you for reaching out to planDisney! Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite attractions, and I can understand wanting to ride it during your visit next year. I also think mid-January is a perfect month to visit Disneyland Resort! There is often a nice lull at Disneyland after the holidays are over and the kids are back in school. The weather can be chilly at times, so check the forecast beforehand and bring a warm sweater or jacket for the evenings.

The Haunted Mansion closed for refurbishment on January 22, 2024, while the Grim Grinning Ghosts materialize an expanded queue and a new retail shop. Since a reopening date has not been announced yet, even Madame Leota cannot predict the expected closure dates for January 2025 at this time. In the past, Haunted Mansion often closed in early to mid-Janaury while Jack Skellington and his Halloween Town pals cleaned up his holiday decor. It usually reopened a couple of weeks later. I suggest keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland social media pages for reopening information.

Another reason that I love visiting Disneyland in January is the return of the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend. Running down Main Street, U.S.A. during the early morning hours is such a magical experience! This runDisney event is happening from January 30 - February 2, 2025, with registration beginning on June 11, 2024. I hope to see you there!

Janet, I hope a Doom Buggy awaits your visit next year. Please contact planDisney again if you have other questions!

    Beware of hitchhiking ghosts!
