Hi, Maria Jose!
I’m glad to hear you want to ring in 2025 at the Happiest Place on Earth. The
Disneyland Resort theme parks will stay open later than usual and likely offer extra entertainment, such as live performances, parades, and a special fireworks display, so it’s sure to be an exciting night!
No formal announcements have been made about activities at the Disneyland Resort for New Year's Eve. In the recent past, specifics weren’t given until around the month of December. However, there’s likely to be multiple New Year's Eve countdown locations and special entertainment offerings in the theme parks, and Cast Members sometimes pass out free noisemakers and hats. There are many fun spots to celebrate at midnight, in addition to the most popular place to welcome the New Year in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The area along the Rivers of America is a great place to be in
Disneyland Park when the clock strikes midnight due to projections on water screens, and you’ll still have a great view of the New Year’s Eve
fireworks spectacular. The area near the “it's a small world” Holiday attraction is one of a few of locations that typically feature live bands and entertainment throughout the night. Be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog to be among the first to hear any news about this year’s plans!
You can begin booking tables at restaurants that accept advance dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, and I highly recommend you do this as soon as possible since New Year’s Eve is a very popular day to visit the resort. My favorite choice is
Blue Bayou Restaurant at Disneyland Park. It serves up delicious Cajun- and Creole-inspired cuisine and is located right inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction! If you’re seated at a table near the water, be sure to wave to the Guests floating by in boats headed to the pirate-filled waters below. If you’re not able to book a dining reservation, there's still the possibility of joining the Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability list upon arrival, a feature in the
Disneyland mobile app that is available at select dining locations.
On New Year’s Eve, it’s best to arrive in the morning if possible and be aware that both parks will likely reach capacity. I recommend that you bring any items you may want later in the evening, such as sweaters or jackets, and reserve a locker right away if you will want one. I hope this information helps, Maria Jose, and that you have a Happy New Year at the Disneyland Resort! Please feel free to write back to
planDisney with any other questions you may have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
