Welcome to planDisney, Terrence!
It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow Pennsylvanian plan their vacation. And I have to say, your thoughtfulness in making sure your wife has a comfortable experience at Disney Springs is truly heartwarming. A Walt Disney World trip is magical, but all that walking? Let’s just say, by the end of the day, my feet are usually singing their own version of Be Our Guest, except it’s more like Give Me Rest!
Now, for the good news! You can absolutely drop your wife off at a closer entrance to Disney Springs before heading to park. Disney Springs has designated passenger drop-off locations in two areas:
• Marketplace (near the World of Disney store)
• West Side (by Drawn to Life presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney)
If you’re looking for the easiest option, I’d recommend the West Side drop-off since there’s a nearby surface parking lot, which can be a more convenient choice if you’re parking in a designated accessible space. Otherwise, the Orange, Lime, and Grapefruit Garages, as well as the Watermelon Lot, all have accessible parking (a valid disability parking permit is required).
If your wife would like some extra comfort while exploring,
wheelchair and ECV rentals are available at the Sundries location near the Town Center bus loop. This might be a great option to help her conserve energy for all the shopping, dining, and fun ahead!
Speaking of fun, if you’re heading to Disney Springs for dinner, consider making it a full date night with
Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil. This stunning show blends Disney animation with Cirque du Soleil’s signature acrobatics for a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
I hope you and your wife have a magical (and comfortable!) visit to Disney Springs, Terrence! If you have any other questions, I’m always happy to help.
