I know that Food and wine is an event in EPCOT. If we finish Animal kingdom early, and EPCOT is staying open later is there ANY way we can just go hit up the Food and Wine for a bit, or would that require full price EPCOT tix or park hopper?

Unfortunately yes, you would have to have a park hopper ticket or a separate ticket to enter Epcot that day. But if that isn't in the budget, never fear - there are other options for that evening which wouldn't require a park admission.

Downtown Disney is a great place to spend an evening, with great food and shopping options for the whole family.

The Boardwalk area is also a great spot to visit for nightlife. Reminiscent of turn-of-the-century Boardwalks at Coney Island and Atlantic City, this a beautiful spot both night and day. Filled with bakeries, sports bars, and fine dining spots, you will also find casual dining options and even outdoor food vendors just like on a 'real' Boardwalk. My children are especially fond of the entertainers that come out in the late afternoons and evenings. And for the adults in your party, there are bars and dancing available as well.
