Hi Chad,
"Ready to begin, let the wonder take hold. Feel it draw you in, watch the moment unfold..." Just the mention of Disney fireworks, and my head and heart instantly go to the moving lyrics from
Happily Ever After, Magic Kingdom Park's nighttime show extraordinaire.
One of my
very favorite moments in a Disney day is gathering together with all of my loved ones, watching the night sky explode in color, listening to the incredible soundtrack during one of the many
nighttime celebrations around the theme parks. Without fail, it always moves me to tears. While I miss that experience terribly, I completely understand and support Disney's
commitment to health and safety which means that large gatherings (like those during fireworks displays) just can't happen right now. I see that your upcoming visit is later this
spring, and while I'm wishing on all the stars that fireworks will be able to resume soon, we just don't know yet when that will be. I'd encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, as that's your best source for the latest Disney news and announcements about theme park changes.
Chad, I assure you that whenever it is announced that nighttime celebrations are returning, many of us here at planDisney will be
ecstatic. In the meantime, we know that as the Happily Ever After lyrics go on to say, "The story comes alive, when we look inside. A new adventure there in your eyes (there in your eyes); It's just beginning. Feel your heart beat faster. Reach out and find your happily ever after." The magic is alive at
Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm sending pixie dust that with or without fireworks, you will find your happily ever after.
Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, and please come back and see us again if you have any other questions as you're thinking through the details of your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
