Hi, how do we know if Fantasmic will be performed any nights during our trip? I’d like to book a dining package for the show but have no interest in any of the restaurants that offer packages if there is no show. Thanks!

Hi Victoria, and welcome to planDisney! Evenings at the Disneyland Resort hold some of the most magical memories, so it makes sense you’d want to know exactly what’s on the entertainment lineup during your visit. I’d be glad to share how to find out whether Fantasmic will be part of your nighttime plans.

Right now, the official Daily Events Schedule only lists showtimes through November 7th. Until that date, Fantasmic is set to light up the Rivers of America on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings each weekend. Since schedules often shift once the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort officially kick off, I suggest checking the calendar again next week (October 3rd) to see if new performance dates have been added.

The good news is that even if Fantasmic isn’t confirmed yet, there’s no shortage of seasonal magic to enjoy at night. At Disneyland, Sleeping Beauty Castle transforms into the shimmering Winter Castle, complete with sparkling icicles and a snowy lighting moment. Over at “it’s a small world” Holiday, thousands of colorful lights glow across the façade each evening, followed by dazzling projections. And of course, Main Street becomes even more enchanting when snow gently falls several times each night.

Across the Esplanade, Disney California Adventure offers its own festive flair. Buena Vista Street twinkles with vintage holiday décor, highlighted by a nightly tree lighting ceremony. Cars Land shifts into “Haul-idays” mode, where snow-dusted cars and whimsical wreaths make for picture-perfect moments. My personal favorite touch is the neon lighting ceremony in Radiator Springs, when the familiar notes of “Sh-Boom” play, the town lights up with a holiday glow that feels straight out of a classic film.

And don’t forget the two biggest holiday traditions at Disneyland: A Christmas Fantasy Parade and the “Believe… in Holiday Magic” fireworks. Here’s a little Q-Tip: grab a spot on Main Street in the evening, and you can catch the parade, snowfall, and fireworks finale all from the same viewing spot.

Victoria, if you think of more questions as you plan, we at planDisney are always here to help.

Wishing you plenty of magical memories this holiday season!
