Kristina,
Thanks for asking our question to planDisney!
So no, Disney does not have a system for reserving a second park for the day. But I understand your concern. You don't want to miss your dinner reservation, and you are concerned that the destination park where the restaurant is located may not have a space available when you park hop over.
Disney recommends that dining reservations be kept to the original park for which you have a theme park reservation using the
Disney Park Pass system. This way you don't have to worry about getting to your meal because of park capacity issues.
BONUS TIP #1I have never had a problem getting into a second park on my travels, though it can happen, and you will want to plan for that. At the time of your impending visit the crowd levels are likely to be robust, but not overwhelming. However,
EPCOT, which is often a common target for dining reservations because of all those great restaurants in the World Showcase, is likely to be busier. That is because of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival that will be held at the time. Consider that when making reservations, and decide which reservations are worth taking a risk on, and which might be best to alter to a more accessible destination.
BONUS TIP #2If the worst case scenario happens, and you cannot get into a park when you have a dining reservation, go straight to your
My Disney Experience App to see what changes can be made.
Write me back if you want some dining recommendations based on your initial park reservation. Maybe I know of a diamond in the rough!
Have a Magical Vacation!
