I know you don't get inside info, but based on the past 2 yrs there have been offers (in Dec, I think?) for 40% off deluxe resort stays...do you think it is likely this will be offered again. Any guesses when? Still probably book soon to get reservations.

Hi Amy! You're right that we here at the Moms Panel unfortunately don't receive advance notice of upcoming discounts for Disney vacations. However, it's also true that Disney does seem to have a pattern of releasing Special Offers. The unofficial website, www.mousesavers.com is a great source of information about discounts at Disney, and the site has a page with historical information about the discounts. While there's no guarantee that Disney will offer the same discounts in the future, it's clear that for the past several years, there has been a trend of special room rates and discounted packages being offered during periods of lower park attendance.

I know you were hoping to take your daughter to Disney next spring, and for the last few years, Disney has released resort room discounts for late spring in March and discounts on spring packages a few months earlier. In addition to discounts available to the general public, Disney also sometimes sends out emails or postcards that have unique codes for a special discount offer. Be sure to register on the Disney website and keep your contact information updated -- maybe you'll get lucky and receive a special discount in your box!

    Hope this helps, Amy!
