Welcome back to planDisney, Jessica! Spooky season is just around the corner, and I’m thrilled for all the tricks, treats, and terrific transformations it brings. From the glowing grin of Pumpkin Mickey greeting guests on Main Street, U.S.A. to the eerie silhouette of the Headless Horseman statue looming over Buena Vista Street, both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will soon be brimming with ghoulish goodness. Let’s dive into what’s in store this year!
I have fantastic news:
Disney’s Happiest Haunts: The Villains’ Trail Guided Tour is returning this season, with some frightfully fun updates! In addition to the 2-hour guided journey through both parks, where you’ll hear spooky stories and Halloween lore through a Disney lens, the tour now includes Lightning Lane access to
Haunted Mansion Holiday (a seasonal must-do). You’ll also get a photo opportunity with the animatronic Witch from
Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, a new and wickedly wonderful touch. As before, you’ll also receive a collectible pin and access to a reserved viewing area for
Halloween Screams with fireworks on select nights. Booking opens today (July 24), so if this experience has cast its spell on you, be sure to secure your spot through the Disneyland website.
And don’t forget all the rest of the frightful fun! At Disneyland, Main Street, U.S.A. will shimmer with jack-o’-lanterns and fall garlands, while Haunted Mansion Holiday blends Halloween with Christmas cheer, courtesy of Jack Skellington and the residents of Halloween Town. Here’s a Q-Tip: stop by at dusk to catch Jack’s spirited “lighting ceremony,” a hauntingly festive way to welcome the evening.
Across the Esplanade, Disney California Adventure transforms into a spellbinding celebration of Halloween. Cars Land becomes Radiator Screams, where Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween offer festive overlays filled with spooky fun and seasonal tunes. Buena Vista Street’s vintage Halloween décor makes for perfect photo ops, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark cranks up the thrills as Rocket launches a rescue mission amid creepy creatures and eerie lighting effects.
As you can see, Jessica, the Halloween season at the Disneyland Resort is packed with more treats than tricks! If you have any more questions or need help planning a particularly spooktacular day, please don’t hesitate to reach out again at planDisney.
Happy (early) Halloween!
David
