Do you know when will Disney cruise do another kids sail free? Last one was 2013. We went on our first cruise last August and we don't plan on doing any other cruises again. It can be expensive even when you book in advance and we booked early.

Welcome aboard, Robin! My family and I took advantage of one of the Kids Sail Free Promotions a number of years back too. It was a wonderful treat, but I haven't seen that type of promotion lately. There's no telling if that will be offered again, but watching Disney Cruise Line's website as well as the Disney Parks Blog is one of the best ways to find out about DCL news and promotions, so join me in checking those sites often!

I do have a few money saving tips to share that can help make your next cruise more affordable. Did you know that many travel agents will offer onboard credits when you book your Disney Cruise Line vacation through them? My travel agent offers us $100-$300 onboard credit depending on the length of sailing, so we always book through her to take advantage of this extra money. That credit can be used onboard for Port Adventures, souvenirs, adult beverages, or even toward the traditional gratuities! What a nice savings!

Another way that we save money on our sailings is by buying Disney Gift Cards ahead of time to pay for the cruise and to use as credits onboard for any extra purchases too. Our local grocery store offers 4x fuel rewards at certain times of year on gift card purchases. So, we earn fuel rewards 4x faster and that saves us a ton of cash on gasoline fill-ups for our car. While it doesn't equate exactly to a cruise discount, I figure that if I buy large Disney Gift Cards there to pay for the cruise, we save so much on gasoline that we have to buy anyway, we're saving money since we're paying for the cruise using gift cards instead of another way. Target also sells Disney Gift Cards, and if you're a Target Red Card member, you can save 5% when you buy them. Every little bit helps!

Stop back if we can help with any other questions as you plan your next family cruise, Robin!
