Hey, Rita! Thanks for visiting us with your question.
For some people, a vacation at
Walt Disney World felt like an all-inclusive resort experience when they were able to book the
Disney Dining Plans. I know for many of my own friends, it was just much easier to budget for their trip if they knew that most of the meals were paid for in advance.
The Disney Dining Plan allows a certain number of meals and/or snacks while you are on vacation. The number of credits you get on your dining plan is based on the number of nights you are staying. If you have a five-night trip, you'll get dining plan credits for five nights. I think the thought process here is that some people will arrive too late or leave too early to use credits for either the first or last day of their trip, so maybe you would use a dinner credit on your first night and a breakfast or snack credit on your last.
You can use your dining plan from check-in through the end of the day that you check out. And don't forget, even though the dining plan is temporarily unavailable, you still want to make your
dining reservations in advance. Right now, your window is 60 days prior to arrival.
Oh - one more tip! If you plan on using mobile ordering, choose your time early! If you arrive at a park and know you want to have lunch at noon, go ahead and put your mobile order in. If the park is busy, you may miss out on your preferred time!
Happy feasting!
Anna
