I know that my DD age 12 is considered an adult when dining at buffets/ character meals, but is she allowed to order off the children's menu at table service restaurants? We have reservations at several, and she honestly cannot eat an entire adult meal.

Hi Tracy!  You are correct in that Disney restaurants do consider age 9+ as "Adult" with respect to dining.  However, they are usually very accommodating when it comes to requesting from the kids menu.  They can either prepare a smaller adult portion of the meal, or substitute items so that your daughter will be able to enjoy her meal.  My children have substituted french fries instead of the polenta without any problem.  If the childs menu appeals to your daughter, then they usually will allow her to order what she will like.  Please bear in mind that this may not always be the case at some Disney restaurants, so it would benefit you to speak to the server upon arrival.

Hope this helps you plan a magical vacation!
