Hi, Daniel! We're so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question!
Winnie the Pooh once famously said, "What could be more important than a little something to eat?" Don't get me wrong, I love riding attractions, but my family is all about the food when it comes to Disney. Some of our best trip memories revolve around a special meal. For that reason, I always highly recommend making
Advance Dining Reservations, or "ADRs" as loyal Walt Disney World fans like to say. Previously, the magical day mark was 180 days, but these days it's now 60 days in advance of your check-in day, which I actually like better! Although the official time is 6:00 AM EST, I like to log into My Disney Experience by 5:45 AM, just to be safe (if you need to call, the phone lines open at 7:00 AM EST, and the number is (407) 939-3463).
One tip I like to mention is instead of booking your meals in chronological order, make them in order of difficulty. Some of the most coveted reservations are
Be Our Guest Restaurant,
California Grill,
Cinderella's Royal Table,
Oga's Cantina, and
Toplino's Terrace Character Breakfast. If you plan on eating at any of these locations, books them first and then go and fill in the rest. You must also have valid admission and a
Disney Park Pass at the location of your meal if you plan to eat in the theme parks.
Just last month, an exciting new feature was rolled out to the
My Disney Experience app! Now guests can check wait times at restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort and add parties of seven guests or less to the waitlist without going inside and speaking to a cast member. The
Disney Parks Blog and the
Dining: Know Before You Go page on the Walt Disney World website are excellent resources for the most up to date dining information.
I hope your trip is
deliciously fun, Daniel!
