Hi Luca, and welcome to planDisney. There’s nothing more exciting than planning a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! And I’m happy to help make sure you have everything you need for your vacation.
With a 3-day theme park ticket, you have the option of using those three days across a five day window. While it’s nice to have that flexibility, you’re more than welcome to use the three days back-to-back! When you buy your tickets on the
Walt Disney Travel Company website and choose the first day you intend to use them, that usage window will highlight in green.
If you’d like to visit all four Disney World theme parks during the three days, you’ll need to buy a ticket with the Park Hopper option. That’ll let you enter more than one park per day, letting you maximize the magic!
Now about the park passes you mentioned, I have some good news!
Theme Park Reservations are no longer needed for date-based tickets, so once you complete your purchase, you’ll be just about ready for your magical vacation! There’s just one last thing I’d recommend doing before your trip—creating a
MyDisney account and downloading the
My Disney Experience app.
If you’re logged into your MyDisney account when you purchase your tickets, they should magically appear under
My Plans. If not, hover over Park Tickets and click the Link Tickets button. Once they’re linked, you can access the tickets through the My Disney Experience app.
This app will be your pixie-dusted guide while you’re at Disney World, with interactive theme park maps, attraction wait times, and showtimes for nighttime spectaculars, parades, and other entertainment. You can also use the app to book
Lightning Lane Passes, join
Virtual Queues, and
mobile order food to save time!
Another feature you can set up through the app is
MagicMobile Service, which lets you enter the parks, link
PhotoPass pictures, and check in at Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane entrances right from your phone’s mobile wallet! I still prefer to use my
MagicBand (or Disney Band as they’re officially called outside of the U.S.), but MagicMobile Service is a great alternative, especially since international guests aren’t able to order MagicBands for pre-arrival.
If you do want a MagicBand, you can find them for sale at stores across the theme parks, Disney Resort hotel gift shops, and at
Disney Springs. I love not having to pull out my phone or a ticket during my park day. And if you’re staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, the MagicBands also serve as your room key!
I’m wishing you safe travels to Florida and hope you have a magical vacation at Disney World! If you have any other questions before your trip, we’d love to have you back at planDisney!
