How do you know what day to book a reservation for an adult dining experience on a Disney Cruise if you don't receive your rotational dining schedule until you board the ship?

Hi there, Ashley, and welcome to planDisney!

I love that you are thinking ahead for your sailing with Disney Cruise Line next spring. I enjoy the planning process almost as much as the vacation itself, and having plenty of time to research all things Disney Cruise Line is always magical to me.

Ashley, you've asked a great question about reserving time for one of the adult-only dining offerings on Disney Cruise Line. You are correct that your dining rotation will be available to you once you open the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, either at the port or on the ship. As a planner, I know it's challenging to select a night to miss your regular rotation, so I am going to share my best advice on how to navigate it. First, you can request a certain dining rotation by calling Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 well in advance of your sail date. While they can not guarantee this rotation, they will do their best to accommodate your request. This will help you plan which night to make your reservation based on the rotation you choose. This has worked for me in the past, so fingers crossed for you! Another suggestion is to wait until you board the ship to see if you can move your reservation if it falls on a night you don't want to miss the dining room. On embarkation day, members of the dining team will be on hand to check for availability, and the time and location to meet with them will be listed in the app. I do recommend lining up early and making it a priority once you are on board to increase your chances. The other suggestion I have is to make a reservation for brunch, lunch (Enchanté only), dessert experience (Remy only), or Prima notte (Palo/Palo Steakhouse/Palo Trattoria only). These dining experiences don't conflict with main dining, so you don't have to worry about missing out on your regular rotation. Prima notte is offered only on embarkation night and is a great way to enjoy some lighter offerings with wine pairings before your meal in the dining room.

I hope these suggestions help secure an adult-only dining experience on your cruise. We hope you'll let us know as you think of other cruise questions while you count down to your sailing! You'll be surprised at how quickly it goes.

    Have a magical day,
    Nancy
