    Do you know the date of the Christmas parade taping this year? We are planning on visiting Dec 3-5 and I would like to avoid the MK on the day of taping if it will be while we are there. Thanks!

    Hi Beth,

    There has been no official word on when Disney might be taping Mickey's Very Merry Christmas parade special. I can tell you that typically the event is taped around the first week of December. Last year it was taped the weekend of December 5th-7th. I would imagine given the past history, that it would be right around the same time. This would mean that you are in between the dates and it may be taped that weekend or the weekend after.

    If you do happen to be there the same weekend, just plan on avoiding the Magic Kingdom for that one day and head to another park. I was actually at Disney World last year during the taping, and by avoiding the Magic Kingdom taping zone, I noticed little difference at the other parks. Unfortunately it may be some time before any official information is released regarding the 2009 taping dates, so plan ahead and just have a back up ready in the event it is needed.
