Hi Rachel!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
On the morning your
Lightning Lane booking window opens, you will choose your Lightning Lane return times for Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or Single Pass first. Then, you’ll purchase the service as the final step when following the prompts. Each park day will be a separate transaction.
Leading up to your booking window opening, other than choosing which attractions you’d like to pre-select, you’ll also want to make sure everyone has their park tickets linked to their account and that you’re linked to your whole travel party via your
Family & Friends List.
To confirm who’s in your Family & Friends List, click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner of your
My Disney Experience app, scroll down to click Profile, then click Family & Friends List at the top of the page. From there, you can see who you’re already linked to. If you don’t see someone in your party, click (+) Add a Guest and follow the prompts.
Once you have that all set up, you can actually click into the Lightning Lane section on the homepage of your My Disney Experience app to see what the first few prompts look like when booking Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass. Although it will not allow you to choose or purchase any Lightning Lanes until your booking window opens, it will still give you an idea of what to expect on that morning.
Remember, your Lightning Lane booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket for date-based tickets if you’re staying off property. If you happen to be staying at a
Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your resort check-in date. I recommend booking as soon as you can to give yourself the best chance at snagging the Lightning Lane return times you’re hoping for!
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to come back and visit us. Have the best trip!
