Hi Andrea! We always love answering runDisney questions here at the Moms Panel! I was in your same (running) shoes, a few yEARS ago myself (pun intended)! When I ran in the 2017 Disney Princess 10K, I was staying at Disney's Beach Club Villas, and like you, I didn't want to use a park ticket that day.
During a runDisney race weekend, bus transportation is available to and from all the races, and in fact, they will have signs posted in the lobby of
Disney's Beach Club Resort with race transportation information. I was lucky enough to get on the first bus at 3:30 am (I was literally running to catch it as it started pulling away)! I'd recommend being on the bus no later than 3:45, and that way you can take your time checking your belongings and walking to your corral. If anyone in your travel party wants to get up bright and early to cheer you on, the half marathon will pass right by your resort!
Since you're not planning on getting park tickets, you'll have extra time to rest and recuperate at the Yacht & Beach Club's
Stormalong Bay Pool. It includes a lazy river and a zero-entry with a sandy bottom play area. I also spent a lot of time in the hot tub, relaxing those running muscles. After a weekend of running, you should also remember to treat yourself to a dessert at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop!
Have a great time during
Star Wars Rival Run Weekend, Andrea!
