Hello! I know that I can book dining reservations 60 days prior to departure. But at what time can I start booking? Should I plan to be online at midnight? Thanks!

Hello there, Terri! Welcome to plan Disney! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

Dining at Walt Disney World Resort is my family’s favorite pass time! In all seriousness, we are serious foodies and love taking the opportunity to try out all the delicious available across the property. Guests can choose from a wide variety of dining locations that range from counter service all the way to signature dining!

With many of the table service dining locations, it is highly recommended that you make advanced dining reservations before your stay. This secures your table for a specific time on a specific day and decreased the amount of time you typically have to wait before beginning your dining experience. Currently, Guests can make their dining reservations up to 60 days in advance and Guests staying with the Disney Resorts Collection may make their dining reservations for the length of their stay 60 days prior to their arrival.

The time at which these dining reservations come available is such an important question and I am so glad you asked it! You should be able to begin making your dining reservations at approximately 5:45 AM. It is important to keep in mind that this is eastern standard time so, if you happen to be in a different time zone when making your reservations, you will want to keep the time difference in mind!

If you happen to miss out on certain dining reservations or your plans change last minute during your visit, you can also take advantage of the Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability feature on the My Disney Experience app! This feature allows you to check availability for walk-up dining at participating restaurants and add your party to the waiting list. As soon as your table is ready, you will receive a notification and be invited to a specified location to begin your meal. This is a great option that allows for more spontaneity during your vacation and minimizes your wait time whenever your plans change!

I hope you have a magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
