Aloha, Amber, and thanks for visiting us again at planDisney! There’s so much going on at Aulani, whether you want to relax in the lazy river or take advantage of the many scheduled activities throughout the day. So let’s chat about when you can make advanced reservations.
Currently, activities like ‘Ohana Ho’okani Pila ‘ukulele lessons and Family Fun Animation can be booked up to 45 days in advance on the
Pau Hana Room page. And, in my experience, you can usually start making reservations at midnight Hawaii time. This has changed from time to time in the past, so I like to check the website in the days leading up to my booking window to confirm the timing and get an idea of how fast certain activities are filling up. For instance, the ‘ukulele lessons are really popular!
If you’re not able to book everything you’re looking for, Hakuna Matata! Stop by the Pau Hana Room in the morning to check for any last-minute openings. Sometimes I’ve been able to snag a spot when another guest cancelled.
And be sure to download the
Aulani Resort Mobile App so you don’t miss any of the fun throughout your stay. I also like to explore the app before I get to Aulani to get an idea of the types of activities that might be happening while I’m there.
If you want to play things by ear a bit more, there are many activities that you don’t need a reservation for at Aulani. Some of my favorites are learning about how Disney Imagineers designed the resort on
The Art of Aulani Resort and The Culture through Nature tours, exploring the resort through the
Menehune Adventure Trail scavenger hunt, and hearing Uncle tell Hawaiian tales at the
Mo’olelo Fire Pit Storytelling (the practically perfect way to end the night!). I also love the
character meet and greets because there are lots of harder-to-find pals at Aulani, like Angel and ‘Olu Mel! Just keep in mind that character meet and greets don’t show up in the app until the morning of each day (typically between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.).
I’m wishing you the most magical stay at Aulani! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
