I know I should have asked this ? before booking our trip but, is it a bad idea to be going to WDW in the month of September? I know it is hurricane season and there might be tons of rain. Have any of you had a bad experience in September?

    Hi DeShawn!

While September is towards the tailend of Hurricane season, there is always a possibility of bad weather moving across Florida (much like Georgia).

However, there are a ton of great benefits to visiting in September.

Personally, I think its a great time to visit since the crowds are typically at one of their lowest levels. Once schools are back in session, attendance tends to drop during September as kids and their families get back into regular schedules.

During September, the Magic Kingdom is also decorated for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This means fun fall decorations transform the park into a fall wonderland! The party is sure to get you in the mood for some Trick or Treating! Even adults often get into the Halloween spirit dressing up in all sorts of costumes!

Also, if you are very worried about Hurricanes, you may want to consider trip insurance to your reservation. This insurance will often cover vacations that are affected by weather.

    Hope this helps!
