I was in NYC today with Mickey and I got to hear the announcement straight from the big cheese! 2009 will be the year of the Celebration Vacation. the promotion is called "What Will You Celebrate?" Beginning on January 1, 2009, both Disney World and Disneyland will give guests free park admission on their birthday.
How cool is that! You can find out the details
HERE.
There are LOTS of other treats in store for guests celebrating any special occasion: birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, graduation, retirement, bar mitzvah, quinceanera, family reunion, recovery from an illness, or whatever is important to YOU. You can read more about some new celebration experiences
HERE. We're still learning all the details, but I do know that some of the fun that's in the works will include:
- New tools on the WDW website to help create personalized celebrations
- Having your Disney resort hotel room decorated for your occasion
- Personalized souvenirs
- New parades and parties at the parks
- New celebration decor in the parks
- A wider selection of free celebration buttons (graduation, retirement, and "happily ever after" will be added to the current mix)
- Special dining experiences
- Magical goody bags at select restaurants
- Personalized party cakes
Plus, there will be a "What will you celebrate?" tour across the United States this fall. The first stop is Minneapolis on September 25. There will be opportunities to win a free WDW vacation. More on this can be found at
www.disneyparkscelebrations.com.
I can't wait for my next celebration!
