Hello, Jan! Thanks for bringing your question to us!
I feel like we could be long lost cousins because shopping and dining are my preferred activities when visiting Walt Disney World, and there are now so many options! Unfortunately, Disney does not have a special non-rider category, but you are always welcome to call and speak to a Cast Member at Guest Services at (407) 939-5277 about other discounts you may be eligible for. Walt Disney World Resort does not offer senior discounts on tickets, however, as a
Florida resident, I'm sure you're aware of the discounts available for Theme Park Tickets and Annual Passes.
I'd also love to give you some Moms Panel suggestions for things you could do in the parks that don't involve riding attractions. Epcot is my go-to park when I'm in a "Foodie Frame of Mind," and there is always fun entertainment around World Showcase Lagoon. My Moms Panel friend, Brandy, is a big fan of
British Revolution, and I have always enjoyed the Canadian Lumberjacks show. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is another great choice if you're interested in live shows. Festival Of The Lion King is my personal favorite (the acrobatic stunts are amazing), but I'd also recommend UP! A Great Bird Adventure which is a unique bird experience. Being in this park after dark kicks the excitement up another notch. Don't miss the Tree of Life Awakening!
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention
Disney Springs which has become like a "Shopping and Dining Theme Park" in its own right, and the best part is that you don't even need to purchase a ticket to experience it.
I hope this gives you some "food for thought," Jan! Visit us again if you have any more questions!
