I know this is almost an impossible question to answer: How much money outside of the trip package do you think we'll spend on extras? It's me, my husband and our three-year-old son. We have the dining package.

That is an almost impossible question to answer, but I'll give it a shot.

You don't say what type of dining plan you have so I'll assume that you have the basic plan. With the basic plan, you'll still need to factor in the cost of breakfast into your day. Obviously what you choose to eat will greatly impact this cost, but just as a benchmark I'll say that I ate at a counter service breakfast place at WDW about two weeks ago. My coffee, eggs, bacon and biscuit meal cost about $8.00. And even though you do get one snack per day on the dining plan, you may be tempted to get an additional snack on your own. (Really, who can choose between the popcorn and the Mickey ice cream?) So, to be safe, let's say maybe an extra $10-$15 per person per day for food (probably a bit less for your son.)

I always end up using the in-room high speed internet access. This costs about $10.00 per day, but if you're having a totally work-free vacation (the best kind), then you can avoid this.

You're going to need a bit of cash for tips for a bellman or two if you need help with your luggage. As well as other tip money based on your dining style.

And then the rest is souvenirs, for which you just have to pick a number you feel comfortable with and stick to it. This is much harder than it sounds because there is a tremendous amount of very visually appealing merchandise at WDW and your son (and you) will want all of it. There are however souvenirs at every price point, from $2.00 pens to $2,000.00 watches, and everything in between. An adult woman's t-shirt will probably be about $20-$30, depending on the style you choose. The children's t's are a bit less. You just have to say, "I'm only going to spend $200 on souvenirs for the trip," (or whatever number makes sense to you) and keep it to that.
