Hello, i would like to know if the alcohol either wine or beer we bring on board can be open in our stateroom? I've never sailed with DCL and am very suprised that we can bring some alcohol in. thanks a lot

Welcome aboard, Marie-Claude! You must be looking forward to heading out to sea with Disney Cruise Line next month! Have you started a countdown calendar yet? Only a few weeks left!

Disney Cruise Line allows guests to bring certain amounts of their own alcoholic beverages onboard their cruise, as long as those beverages are carried on in the guests' carry-on bags. They may not be checked in with the regular luggage. Guests can most certainly open their alcohol in their staterooms, as they are not allowed to consume their own alcohol in the public lounges or areas. If you'd like a corkscrew, simply ask your stateroom host who can provide one for you, along with glasses.

If you'd like to enjoy your own wine in the restaurants onboard, you're welcome to bring the bottle with you, but there is a $25 corkage fee.

But, even if you bring your own alcoholic beverages, I highly recommend you splurge on at least one of Disney Cruise Line's Drinks of the Day. My favorite is the Konk Kooler on Castaway Cay, but I also always have a frozen and fruity sail away drink during the Sail Away deck party! Your Personal Navigator will list the alcoholic and non-alcoholic Drink of the Day each day, as will the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, so be sure to check those out!

I hope those details help as you get ready to set sail next month, Marie-Claude! Enjoy a magical cruise!
