I know that adults are not allowed to fully dress up as characters in the parks but I was wondering what the policy is on the short themed dresses (like those sold at hot topic) that resemble character clothing is? EX green dress v similar to Peter Pan

    Hi Halle!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You'll often hear this referred to as Disney Bounding, which is essentially dressing up without actually wearing a costume, but instead using regular clothes as a way of embodying a character!

I would say this isn't just allowed, but something I would definitely encourage! The rules against adults dressing up is to eliminate any confusion for our young mouseketeers because there is only one Cinderella and she lives in the castle at the Magic Kingdom! I think what you have described is a great way to really show your Disney side while still staying within the park rules.

I just know you are going to look absolutely amazing during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
