What kind of weather can I expect in early/mid December? We are planning our first trip to Disney and our dates are Dec. 10-14. We come from Oklahoma, so not sure what to expect! Layers, I suppose?

Hi Blythe! How exciting that your family's first trip to Walt Disney World is almost here! Layers are always a good idea at Disney in December. I've been to Disney many times in December, and the temperatures can vary widely. I've experienced pleasant, warm days in the 70s, and I've experienced bitter cold temperatures in the freezing range. The average high temperatures for that time in December are low 70s while the average lows are in the 50s. You'll likely need a warm coat in the evenings, but it's possible that you could wear short sleeves and even shorts in the afternoons, so bring a little bit of everything and plan to peel off or pile on the layers as necessary.

If you visit the website www.weather.com a week or so before your trip, you can type "Disney World" into the search box and pull up a more accurate forecast for your travel dates. Wishing you warm and sunny weather! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
