With your Walt Disney World Resort vacation just a few days away, I'm sure you are putting the finalizing touches on your trip and finishing up packing. You must be so excited to join in on

While shoes must be worn, there is no specific footwear requirement for attractions within Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, although skates or
shoes with wheels are prohibited. I have seen Guests wearing everything from basic flip-flops to stilettos. (Though I do not recommend either of those options!) I usually average 10-12 miles of walking per day on my Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so I recommend something supportive and comfy for walking. You'll see many Guests wearing athletic shoes. I actually prefer a good walking sandal, such as those available from brands like Keen, Chaco, Teva, Merrell, and other similar styles. My feet don't get as hot as they do in sneakers, and the waterproof sandals are great for rainy days as well. Just don't forget to put sunscreen on the tops of your feet!
There are some experiences at Walt Disney World Resort that do require closed-toe or other shoes, such as
Wild Africa Trek,
Up Close with Rhinos,
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure, or
horseback riding. Information about recommended or required attire can be found under "Know Before You Go" on each experience's webpage, or at the time of booking the experience at 407-WDW-PLAY.
