Do you get any kind of perks/discounts for running in a run disney event and staying on resort property? We are doing the wine and dine half marathon and 10k and will be staying at French Quarter for a week. Any kind of deals available?

Hello, Nicki! I can't think of a more delectable way to spend a run-cation; running and eating are two of my favorite things, and Disney's Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will give you plenty of opportunities to do both! I'm glad you've decided to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. One of the best reasons to stay in the heart of the magic for race weekends is the complimentary transportation to and from runDisney events. I always appreciate that this is one less thing I have to worry about on those mornings when my alarm goes off at 3:00 AM!

While there are no discounts on Walt Disney World Resort Hotel rooms or theme park tickets available directly through runDisney, you can check out the Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website. Currently, there is a Room Only offer for your travel dates that will save you up to 10% on your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter; however, the offer is only available for Sunday through Thursday night stays. I'd suggest speaking to a Reservations Agent at (407) 939-2727 to see if the promotion can be applied to your trip dates.

I'm so impressed you're signed up for the Disney Two Course Challenge, Nicki! Enjoy every moment of those 19.3 magical miles, and be sure you celebrate afterward at the Post-Race Party at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
