Welcome to planDisney, Lauren, and thanks for this great question! I just returned from a visit to
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, and I can personally vouch for how comfy the queen beds are. My husband called me Sleeping Beauty! And although the mattress felt fabulous, I'll admit that part of the reason I slept so well could've been all that walking in the theme parks! But let's see what we can uncover about the type of mattresses used at this
Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
Since many
Disney Resort Hotels have gone through remodeling over the past few years, mattress brands can be a moving target and even vary within a resort. In the past, many Disney hotels used Beautyrest mattresses, and when I did a quick online search, there is a mattress on the Beautyrest website with "Disney" in its name. I also asked a well-rested Cast Member about the mattresses currently used in the standard rooms at Coronado Springs, and he said they are a brand exclusive to Walt Disney World and cannot be purchased by guests at this time. So, if you got some quality shuteye at this resort a few years ago, you probably had a Beautyrest mattress, but if you're planning an upcoming visit, you might have the new brand.
Lauren, I hope you can spend some time in the Gran Destino Tower at this resort on your next visit. The Spanish-inspired decor and two-story lobby took my breath away. While there, I made a Mickey-shaped tile at the
Spanish Mosaic Art experience. The view from the Dahlia Lounge was a show-stopper, and I'll treasure the piece I made forever. Everything is better when it's shaped like our favorite mouse! You can sign up for this
Enchanting Extra activity 60 days before you arrive; it was a highlight of my stay!
I hope I've helped you find the information you need, Lauren. We want our guests to be more like Aurora and less like a cranky dragon, and a good night's sleep always helps. Please
stop by planDisney anytime; I'll keep the pillows fluffed!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
