Hello, Ted! Thanks a
latte for sending in your question to planDisney!
Is there anything better than that first sip of coffee in the morning? My kids will attest that I'm no princess until I pour my first cup! When we stayed at the
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge last summer, there was a full-size (10-12 cup) traditional Mr. Coffee drip-style coffee maker typical of most DVC Villas. Joffrey's coffee is provided when you check-in and replenished on scheduled housekeeping days. The
Wilderness Lodge Mercantile Store has a small selection of groceries, so I also picked up a bottle of flavored creamer along with some breakfast items here. I highly recommend enjoying your coffee and the sunrise on the screened-in, wrap-around porch. It's a great way to channel your inner Zen before heading to the parks!
I also encourage you to explore the grounds during your stay. While it's no secret that Disney's Wilderness Lodge is themed after the National Parks in the Pacific Northwest, many guests don't know that the Imagineers snuck in some details to honor Walt's love of trains. Tucked away in the DVC area off the resort's main lobby, you'll find the Carolwood Pacific Railroad room, which has a rare collection of trains that belonged to Walt himself. I'm always looking for a quiet place to relax, away from the parks' hustle and bustle, and this spot is a hidden gem!
I hope you have a
fab"brew"lous time, Ted! If you have any more questions before your trip, remeber we're all ears!
