Pamela,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
The kind of coffee maker in a Disney Resort Hotel room can vary, typically by resort. In the One Bedroom Villas at
Disney's Riviera Resort, the coffee maker is, in fact, a
STAY by Cuisinart coffee maker. It is not a K-Cup coffee maker. It can use ground coffee, or portioned filter packs. It has a 12-cup pot, so no more having to brew one cup at a time.
I think I know where some of the confusion that you ran into comes from. Many of the Riviera room types, like the One Bedroom Villas that you mentioned, as well as the Deluxe Studios, use the STAY coffee makers. However, it turns out that the Tower Studio rooms use the Keurig K-Cup coffee makers. It makes sense that a room for 2 hardly needs a pot of coffee, thus a different machine for a different party size.
BONUS TIPIf you are looking for even more adventurous coffee options, there is a free-standing Joffrey’s coffee stand located just outside the
Disney Skyliner station at
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. It is just steps away from the entrance, so you could grab a coffee before hopping on your ride to
Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
