Hi Kimberley L. I see that you're a big fan of the poly. We will be staying there and heading to MK on an EMH day. We want to get to the park for opening. Where could we eat breakfast? All the places around the poly seem to open at 7:30. Thank you

    Aloha, Julie!

You're absolutely right - I am a big fan of the Polynesian Resort! It's a great choice for proximity and convenient transportation to Magic Kingdom as well as for dining at the other two Deluxe Resorts on the monorail line. And the theming is something very special with tropical foliage and lush landscaping, not to mention the tiki torches that flank the entrance to the Great Ceremonial House and line the pathways between the longhouses.

On your Magic Kingdom Extra Magic Hours (EMH) morning, I suggest heading to Captain Cook's located in the Great Ceremonial House for breakfast. Captain Cook's is a quick-service dining spot that opens at 6:30 AM and has a variety of choices for breakfast, both hot and cold menu items. Click on the highlighted link to access Captain Cook's breakfast menu. I highly recommend the Tonga Toast for the adults in your party and the Mickey-shaped Waffles for the kids! Once you have adequately fortified yourselves for the morning ahead full of fun and magic, you can simply go up to the monorail platform to catch a ride to Magic Kingdom in time for EMH rope drop.

Wishing you a wonderful stay at the Poly!
