Hi Jennifer,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hear that you'll soon be back at "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for another incredible vacation! I bet you're counting down the days and looking forward to celebrating beloved traditions and discovering new favorites!
You're going to LOVE the
Disney After Hours event! You'll be able to enjoy small crowds, complimentary snacks and drinks, some of your favorite attractions with very little wait times,
and you'll get to experience the magic of
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park at night!
Rivers of Light: We Are One...
Tree of Life Awakenings...the magic of bioluminescence throughout
Pandora - The World of Avatar...it's AWESOME!
While every attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort
could close unexpectedly due to weather or some other unforeseen circumstance, it's a safe bet to go with the times listed on Disney's website. I'm happy to tell you that my family has experienced
Kilimanjaro Safaris at night when it was pitch dark out and extra lighting was needed, so I know first-hand that it does stay open late. Unless something unusual happens and it closes early, you should be able to enjoy it with your Disney After Hours ticket. Since it's also not listed as a
regular attraction included in the Disney After Hours event and you're able to enter the theme park at 7:00 p.m. with that ticket alone, I'd encourage you to go while the park is still open to regular Guests. Plus, in my opinion, the
perfect time to experience this incredibly immersive experience is at dusk when it's a bit cooler and the animals are more active.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another great question, Jennifer, and please feel free to keep them coming as you're putting together the details for this next trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation later this
summer!
Missy
