Welcome to planDisney! You’ll be happy to know that you can use Disney Gift Cards, to purchase
Disneyland Tickets. You should also be able to use Visa Gift Cards. You may be running into a glitch because while typically you can use as many Disney Gift Cards as you want, you may be limited in the number of other types of payment.
But not to worry, I think I have a solution for you! I am not personally a fan of Visa Gift Cards. You’d think they would be easier to use than they are, but you typically need to know exactly how much is left on the card so it doesn’t work well for partial purchases. The last time I received a Visa Gift Card, I simply went to the
Disney Gift Card website, and purchased a Disney Gift Card with the Visa Gift Card! It was quick and easy and now all my money was on a Disney Gift Card. Then, did you know you can transfer balances from one Disney Gift Card to another up to a maximum value of $1000.00 on a single card? This can be done easily on the Disney Gift Card website. I would recommend you transfer all your balances from multiple Disney Gift Cards onto one or two cards, then make your Disneyland Ticket purchase with that those cards. This should make the transaction much easier!
Alternately, your other option would be to
call to purchase over the phone, but you may still run into the same issue. While you can use unlimited Disney Gift Cards, you may only be able to use a limited number of other payment types. I recommend you go the gift card route.
I hope this helps you get your gift card figured out and tickets purchased! And don’t forget to make your
Theme Park Reservations for the dates you plan to visit. You’ll need both a ticket and a reservation to enter the parks.
