Hiya Rae,
Welcome to planDisney. It is so great to have you stop by with this fantastic
Walt Disney World Resort planning question. While your upcoming visit may feel so far away, it will be here before you know it!
My kids are also various ages and when we first started visiting Disney World, I worried that we would not be able to find a way to keep them all entertained and happy. The great news is there are so many things to see and enjoy regardless of which theme park you are visiting - I am confident they will all have a great time. Depending on how long you will be staying and how many days of
theme park tickets you will have, you can plan time at some, if not all of the four theme parks. If you decide to add the
Park Hopper Option, you will be able to visit more than one theme park on the same day (based on theme park availability).
If your kids love animals,
Disney's Animal Kingdom should be at the top of the list. You will be able to enjoy a magical up-close mixture of nature, animals and wild entertainment. If you and your kids are drawn to the bright lights of Hollywood, then I would start with
Disney's Hollywood Studios. At this theme park, many of the movies and stars that you know and love will roll out the red carpet for your arrival. Are you all
Star Wars' fans? You will want to step into a galaxy far, far away and enjoy some Star Wars' adventures. Perhaps you were hoping to hang out with Andy's toys. No worries- you can do that here with a visit to Toy Story Land. Not meant for red carpet? Maybe your kids would prefer to travel along 11 countries or visit Future World. If international culture and future technology are what your kids are in to, then
EPCOT should be your top theme park.
These first three are all amazing theme parks with thrilling attractions, yummy food and beverage choices, great character interactions and fantastic entertainment options. However, I think the best theme park to keep all members of the family happy and entertained is
Disney's Magic Kingdom. Not only does it offer almost three times the number of attractions and entertainment as the next theme park, but you will be able to find both thrill options (for those wanting something with a few extra twists and turns) as well as slow paced options for younger kids or those who may not have "the need for speed". While there are a handful of attractions with height requirements, most are open to Guests of all heights. Plus this park is the shining star on top of the Disney tree - home of the iconic Main Street U.S.A and Cinderella Castle. It is simply a magical place for all ages, including your children.
I hope this helps with your planning. If I can assist any further, please
stop back and see me.
With pixie dust,
Margaret
