Welcome back, Katrina! Your kids are so lucky that their mom is whisking them away to the warm waters of the Caribbean this fall with Disney Cruise Line!
I'm sorry that your husband can't join you for this cruise, but that just means you'll have to book another one while you're onboard so that the whole family can sail together next time!
Disney Cruise Line offers wifi service for an additional fee. You can read about the different costs and packages available on the
Internet and Phone Services page of Disney Cruise Line's website. If you'd like to purchase a package, just stop by Guest Services and they'll get you set up. Keep in mind that while it is certainly amazing that even in the middle of the ocean guests can access the internet, you'll need to remember it'll be slower than what you're used to at home.
You may also want to call your cell phone provider to inquire about roaming data plans and what is available through them. When you're in the various ports of call, your cell phone will work perfectly, and Cellular at Sea is available on the ship, however roaming fees can be very costly both in port and on the ship, so check that out with your cell phone carrier first. My husband and I really enjoy the rare opportunity to turn our cell phones completely off when we sail. We save the costly roaming fees and get to be fully present to enjoy every moment with each other and our kiddos on the ship.
Finally, when you receive your confirmation packet with boarding documents from Disney Cruise Line, you'll get the emergency card included in that. A phone number is listed to provide to family back home so they have a way to reach the ship should they need to, in the event of an emergency.
I hope that helps as you plan, Katrina! You're in for a memorable and magical trip!
